A hotel is more than its rooms. From the moment a guest walks through the door, they expect fast Wi-Fi, a safe environment and a check-in that just works. Behind all of that sits an invisible but essential IT foundation: the network, the cameras, access control, and the reliable connectivity that ties them together. This is exactly what ONYX delivers — a hotel handed over by one team, from equipment to installation to ongoing support. The Şuşa Hotel project is a real example of it.
What a hotel actually needs
Hotel IT is not a set of separate systems — it is one connected whole. Guest experience and operational security run over the same network, which is why splitting the work across several unrelated contractors usually creates problems.
Full-coverage guest Wi-Fi
A guest wants to stay connected in the lobby, in the room, in the restaurant and by the pool — without ever thinking about it. That does not come from a few routers placed at random. Every part of the building has to be surveyed, coverage has to be planned, and load has to be accounted for. On the Şuşa Hotel project, ONYX deployed UniFi Wi-Fi and networking across the entire property so the connection holds as guests move from one end of the hotel to the other.
Perimeter security and CCTV
A hotel protects both its guests and its own property. That requires cameras placed correctly at entrances, in corridors and along the perimeter, plus reliable round-the-clock recording. At Şuşa Hotel, ONYX built perimeter security with 60 Dahua CCTV cameras — meaning planned, deliberate coverage of the property, not just cameras hung on walls.
Turnstiles and access control
Who goes where is at the core of running a hotel. Turnstiles, barriers and access control raise security and keep operations orderly at the same time. On the Şuşa Hotel project ONYX also installed turnstiles and barriers, making them part of the overall infrastructure rather than a bolt-on.
The network behind reception and the PMS
The guest never sees it, but reception, the property management system (PMS), payment terminals and cameras all run on the same network. If that network is weak, check-in slows down, payments drop, cameras cut out. That is why we separate guest traffic from operational traffic and keep the critical systems stable and protected.
The ONYX difference: one team, end to end
The most common problem in hotels is that one company builds the Wi-Fi, another the cameras, a third the network. When something breaks, everyone points at someone else. ONYX delivers all of it as a single project.
Equipment supply
Servers, network gear, cameras and licenses — supplied from real vendors (Dahua, UniFi and others) with the right specification.
Installation and integration
Network, Wi-Fi, CCTV and access control are planned as one project and wired together to work as a whole.
Ongoing support
The work does not end at installation — we keep the systems running, and you call one number.
Why real experience matters here
A hotel's network and security infrastructure looks simple on paper, but the real challenge is making it work as a single, dependable whole. ONYX's engineering experience reaches beyond hospitality — the company's CTO was the lead architect of the passive network infrastructure (SCS) for COP29 (the UN Climate Conference, Baku 2024). That level of engineering discipline is brought to hotel projects with the same precision.
